If the swell and conditions are right, a surfing competition is held each October at the Long Strand in West Cork.
This was on one of those days and there are a few surfing pics elsewhere on this site but this is to the extreme left of the beach
when there was no-one out. It's kind of a trick of the mind photo because there's nothing to compare the rocks to
so you don't know if they're 3 feet high or eight hundred.
